Research Symposium students can win $500 posting research videos on YouTube

The School of Arts & Sciences is hosting a video contest for students participating in the 2008 Student Research Symposium.

Students who have registered for the Symposium may upload a video about their research to YouTube. A link to the video should be e-mailed to as@richmond.edu by April 11.

Videos should be as creative as possible and may be up to five minutes in length. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges and the number of YouTube views the video receives. Video content must be clean and represent the student’s independent work.

Awards of $500, $250 and $100 will be given to first, second and third place entries. Three additional students will receive honorable mentions and $50 prizes.

Students with questions about the contest should contact Rachel Beanland.
