Debate Team Announces 2008 National Debate Institute Dates
The University of Richmond Debate Team will once again invite high school students from across the country to participate in one-, two- or three-week summer sessions, designed in introduce novices to debate and to hone the skills of advanced debaters.
2008 session dates are:
1 Week: Sunday, July 6 - Saturday, July 12
2 Week: Sunday, July 6 - Saturday, July 19
3 Week: Sunday, July 6 - Saturday, July 26
High school students stay in dormitories on the University of Richmond campus, with full access to dining facilities, university libraries, computer labs and the recreation and wellness center.
Participants can choose between both Policy and Lincoln-Douglas options. Once students register, they are assigned a faculty mentor who can answer questions and help students begin pre-workshop preparation.
Students who participate in the three-week program are eligible to receive three college-credits. Scholarship assistance is available.
