"Finding and applying for federal internships" set for Oct. 20

The Career Development Center will host a webinar presented by the Partnership for Public Service about how to find and apply for federal internships Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Tyler Hayes Commons, room 331. Lunch will be provided.

What’s the best way to get a job with the federal government? Do an internship! The federal government will hire about 60,000 student interns in 2009. There will be positions for every academic major at more than 100 federal agencies including the Departments of Treasury, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services and even at the White House. Many deadlines for internships during the summer of 2010 are coming up soon.

Space is limited! To reserve your spot, log in to SpiderConnect and click "Events," "Programs & Workshops" or call (804) 289-8547.
