Florida State University professor gives lecture Apr. 17

The Department of Philosophy will host guest lecturer Alfred R. Mele of Florida State University to give a talk, "Free Will," on April 17 at 3:30 p.m. in North Court, room 103. Mele is the William H. & Lucyle T. Werkmeister Professor of Philosophy at Florida State and his most recent publications include Motivation and Agency (Oxford University Press, 2003), Free Will and Luck (Oxford University Press 2006) and, most recently, Effective Intentions: The Power of Conscious Will (Oxford University Press, 2009).
