Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the two newest members of the Osher Leadership Council. Lin Koch and Bill Bateman were elected in December 2011, and attended their first meeting in March 2012.
With no previous art experience, Bill discovered a new interest in oil painting and has continued to take classes at UR and elsewhere.

If you ever want to gain the attention of friends, tell them that you are a member of the Osher Institute. This will immediately spark their interest because they normally confuse Osher with OSHA (the Occupational, Safety and Health Administration).
The Osher Institute is pleased to announce an exciting course for the fall 2012 Osher semester titled “Think Like A Shrink: Understanding Literature through Psychology and vice versa.”
Linda Hutson, C‘12, refused to let her past become an obstacle to earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies.
As a new associate dean of Arts and Sciences, Vincent Wang hopes to gain administrative experience while continuing to advance the University’s vision for internationalization.
Jacob Tingen, L'12, combines his background in web development with his law school experience to help non-profits and other legal organizations establish professional websites that offer important resources to the community.
