Older Dominion Partnership
'Age Wave II Summit' Indicates Continuing Need for Life Long Learning
"Aging in Place" was the subtle message of the day-long Older Dominion Partnership's second "Age Wave Summit," held on May 19, 2011, at Anthem's Davis Conference Center. Osher members were interested to get a glimpse of state and local planning for the demands that will be put on health, financial, and social services as more and more "Boomers" hit retirement.

Navigating the University of Richmond Campus
For over twenty years I passed by the University of Richmond campus and except for attending my daughter’s wedding at the Cannon Memorial Chapel several years ago, I never set foot on the campus. Then I joined Osher.

A play date for Osher creative study
A recent Osher outing, organized as a result of the mini course on creativity, was a trip to the Evergreen Cemetery located in the eastern part of Henrico County. The cemetery was once planned as the counterpart to Hollywood Cemetery.

Osher members attend sesquicentennial Civil War conference
On Saturday, May 21, several Osher members enjoyed the Third Virginia Sesquicentennial Commemoration of the American Civil War Conference at Virginia Tech.
