A new addition to the downtown arts scene, First Fridays East brings community members into galleries and performance venues — including the University of Richmond Downtown — just a few blocks down Broad Street from Richmond's popular monthly art walk.
As an environmental studies and geography double major and resident of the Earth Lodge living-learning community, Asha Phadke, ’12, has cultivated her passion for the environment. This fall she’ll embark on a year-long study abroad trip to maximize her exposure to two very different landscapes.

Jaime Wisegarver came to law school with the hope of becoming a trial attorney. During her three years at the University of Richmond School of Law, she has taken advantage of the many opportunities to get inside the courtroom and hone her skills.
“I want to help corporations realize that they can increase profit through more sustainable, lower-impact ways of doing business. I want to leave the earth better than I found it.”

Though she attends college in the same city where she grew up, Diana Trinh, '11, has friends from all over the world. Her involvement with Richmond's multicultural student body has empowered her to be a leader in campus internationalization.
