If you happen to find yourself in the Gottwald Science Center on occasion and have the pleasure of hearing a melodious voice so reminiscent of the Caribbean, you may be in the company of Tajh Ferguson, a third-year biology major.
This summer, rather than enjoy the beach front pleasures of her native island in the Bahamas, Tajh remained on campus and participated in research under the guidance and direction of Dr. Craig Kinsley. She focused on the effects of reproduction on the susceptibility of Alzheimer’s disease in female rats.
The opportunity to become involved in research such as this played a significant role in leading Tajh to the University following her high school graduation. But more than ever, she enjoys meeting and working with new people.
