Richard Becker publishes FATES

Music faculty member Richard Becker's FATES, a long poem in nine sections, has been published by The Literary Review as one of its web chapbooks.   Becker will be guest piano recitalist and lecture recitalist, on the subject of teaching Beethoven, for the 2008 Matthay Piano Festival at East Carolina University. 

In addition, Becker will be giving recitals at Penn State University and Chowan University.  His 2006 Albany Records recording of Three Dances and Impromptu by David Chaitkin was cited by John Harbison as an "excellent entree into Chaitkin's music" in the program notes for Tanglewood Music Center's 2007 Festival of Contemporary Music.
