Summer research fellowship applications due Feb. 18
Every year, the School of Arts & Sciences supports undergraduate research through summer research fellowships. These fellowships provide stipends for students interested in conducting full-time research under the guidance of an Arts & Sciences faculty member. With mentor approval, students may choose from an 8-week, 9-week or 10-week experience.
Applications must be received by Monday, February 18, 2008. Before applying, students should read the guidelines carefully and include all required information. Proposals should be submitted to Dr. Kathy Hoke, Associate Dean for Research Support, Boatwright Administrative Wing, room 17.
If additional research funds are needed to conduct the summer research, a separate research proposal cover sheet and a detailed budget must be submitted with the summer fellowship application.
In 2007, the School of Arts & Sciences supported 156 students who spent their summers researching on campus.
