New Student Orientation to be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012

December 21, 2011

The spring orientation session for newly-admitted degree-seeking students will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the Alice Haynes Room of the Tyler Haynes Commons. Non-degree-seeking students who plan to apply and enroll in spring 2012 credit-earning classes are also invited to attend.

New Student Orientation is the School’s first opportunity to welcome new students as Richmond Spiders. We encourage all newly-admitted students to attend the session in preparation for the first day of spring classes on January 9.

Attendees will have an opportunity to create their University One Card identifications, to set up their computing and network accounts (including a @richmond.edu e-mail address), to pay for their parking passes and to speak with representatives from many other School and campus departments.

As importantly, New Student Orientation offers attendees the opportunity to meet and network with other new students in addition to faculty, staff, administrators and academic advisors. Peer relationships established during orientation become supportive classmates who are all working toward the same goal—to walk across the stage at Commencement.

To register for the event, please visit New Student Orientation and follow the RSVP link (embedded in the date) to complete the RSVP form. And be sure to review all of the resources available on the New SPCS Students portal.

We welcome all you new students to the University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies!
