The Jepson Leadership Forum continues with writer, historian and longtime political activist Barbara Ransby speaking on “Rethinking Dr. King’s Legacy through the Lens of Ella Baker.” The lecture is Jan. 24, 7 p.m. at the Jepson Alumni Center.

Ransby will draw on her award-winning biography “Ella Baker and the Black Freedom Movement: A Radical Democratic Vision.” The Outstanding Book Award and the James A. The lecture is part of the Jepson Leadership Forum’s 2011-12 season on “Game Changers: How Women Lead and Change the World” and is the Jepson School’s James MacGregor Burns Lecture in Leadership Studies and Biography. The talk is cosponsored by the Department of History.
