English professor participates in radio discussion on Mormonism

February 20, 2012
Terryl Givens, professor of literature and religion in the Department of English, recently participated in a 50-minute radio discussion about politics and the Mormon Church, an issue in which Givens specializes.

Warren Olney, who hosts To the Point on Public Radio International, invited Givens and three others to present their views on whether Mitt Romney should speak publicly more often about his Mormon faith. Along with Givens were New York Times and New York Magazine op-ed writer Frank Rich, Mitt Romney author Ron Scott, and Richard Cizik, president of the New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good.
