Studio art seniors host thesis exhibition April 13-May 3

April 12, 2012

The Department of Art and Art History opens its Senior Thesis Exhibition, “There’s a Hole in the Ceiling,” April 13 at the University of Richmond’s Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art.

The 2012 exhibition is on view concurrently from April 13–May 3 at both the Harnett Museum and at the UR Downtown Wilton Companies Gallery, located at 626 East Broad Street, Richmond. This year’s exhibition features art works by Jon Henry, Kellie Morgan and Elizabeth Ygartua. Artist talks will be held April 13 from 2–3 p.m. in the Harnett Museum as part of the 2012 School of Arts and Sciences Student Symposium.

Studio art majors in the honors program work throughout their senior year to prepare for an exhibition that takes place in downtown Richmond at the end of their final semester on campus.

The closing reception for the exhibition will be May 4 at 6 p.m. at the Wilton Companies Gallery as a part of First Fridays at UR Downtown. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
