Osher Institute schedule of summer 2012 classes available online, open for registration

April 25, 2012

Summer 2012 classes from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond are now available for viewing online and open for registration.

This summer debuts a streamlined search interface for the online schedule, enabling users to easily select courses by day of week, time of day and category.

Special Osher events, including Breakfast and Dinner Bunch Socials, have been consolidated into a single Special Events page. Look for those Socials (June 5 & 7) along with “The Roots of Rock & Roll” on the music of the 1960s (June 5), “Auto 101” on buying and selling a car (June 21) and “Rough Waters Ahead” on navigating health care reform (July 10).

This summer also features new Bonus Programs, designed to help Osher members get the most out of their membership. Some of these Bonus Programs are open to prospective members, too, offering the perfect opportunity to try out the Osher Institute.

And we’re pleased to offer two lecture series: our “History & Culture Series” featuring several University of Richmond faculty and our “Health News You Can Use Series” featuring medical practitioners affiliated with HCA.

The Osher Institute at the University of Richmond is a program of the School of Professional & Continuing Studies. Its membership comprises learners “50 or better” engaged in the life of a vibrant university community.
