Dr. Dana Lascu Receives Fulbright Specialist Award

Dr. Dana Lascu, Professor of Marketing in the Robins School of Business, has received a Fulbright Specialist grant to work with faculty and staff at Ider University in Mongolia, where she will organize several seminars and an international conference in conjunction with the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian Marketing Association. She will assist Mongolian faculty, students, and marketing managers in the development of marketing strategies and analytical skills.

A former Fulbrighter, Dr. Lascu held the Distinguished Chair in International Business in Austria in 2006. She has taught at the University of Richmond since 1991, where she was named a Distinguished Educator. She has also received the Outstanding Faculty Award from the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia.

The Fulbright Scholar Program offers U.S. faculty, administrators and professionals grants to lecture, conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields, or to participate in seminars. The Fulbright Program, the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
The Fulbright Specialist Program is a short-term complement to the core Fulbright Scholar Program, sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning and related subjects at overseas academic institutions for a period of 2 to 6 weeks.
