Institute in Philanthropy director elected to serve on board of Assoc. of Fundraising Professionals

Kathy Laing, MSFS, director of the University of Richmond Institute on Philanthropy, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Laing will serve as senior chair of the board’s Programs Committee.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals is a “the professional association of individuals and organizations that generate philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable institutions.”

The Institute on Philanthropy is a program of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Its courses and programs are accepted for credit by several national organizations. The Institute offers coursework and certificates in fundraising and development and planned giving, among other nonprofit-centered topics.
