Institute in Philanthropy program wins program of excellence award from regional professional organization

The University of Richmond Institute on Philanthropy has been awarded the UPCEA South Region’s Program of Excellence (Noncredit) Award for its Grant Writing and Management Certificate program.

The award recognizes the program’s outstanding educational design and effectiveness in meeting an educational need.

The award was presented on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the UPCEA South Regional Conference in Birmingham, Ala.

The Institute on Philanthropy is a program of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. The Institute offers courses and programs of study for nonprofit board members, executives, staff and volunteers in conjunction with professional certificates like the award-winning Grant Writing and Management Certificate program.
