A new book co-edited by Joanne B. Ciulla, Coston Family Chair in Leadership and Ethics, includes a case study by two former students.

The book is the third edition of Honest Work: A Business Ethics Reader. It was published this spring by Oxford University Press. The case study, written by Emily Black, ’12, and Miriam Eapen, ’12, focuses on suicides at Foxconn Technology Group, the largest employer in China, and the company’s response.

Black and Eapen wrote the case study as seniors in Leadership Ethics, the capstone course for leadership studies majors and minors.

Ciulla is a founding faculty member of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. Her research focuses on leadership ethics, business ethics, international leadership and the philosophy of work. She has held academic appoints at Harvard Business School, The Wharton School, University of Fort Hare in South Africa, Oxford University and the United Nations International Leadership Academy in Jordan.
