University of Richmond signs new agreement with Richmond Bland College, easing transfer to SPCS degree programs

University of Richmond and Richard Bland College have signed an articulation agreement assuring easy transition for Richard Bland associate degree graduates into a bachelor’s degree program at Richmond’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS).

Students from Richard Bland College who have completed an associate’s degree have a grade point average of 2.0 out of 4.0 from all college work attempted and meet standard admissions requirements will be admitted to SPCS.

Eligible transfer programs covered in the agreements include SPCS’s bachelor of arts in liberal arts and bachelor of science in professional studies, including human resource management, IT management and paralegal studies. 

Edward L. Ayers, Richmond’s president, signed the agreement with Debbie L. Sydow, Richard Bland’s president. The signing ceremony was held in the university’s Jepson Alumni Center.
