SPCS administrators, faculty & staff join student government, alumni to celebrate SPCS Student Week, October 19-25, 2014

The School of Professional and Continuing Studies Student Government Association and Alumni Association are joining the school’s faculty, staff and administrators in celebrating SPCS students during SPCS Student Week, October 19-25, 2014.

To kick off SPCS Student Week, students are invited to attend the SPCS Alumni Association Tailgate before the Richmond Spiders take on conference rival University of Rhode Island. 

  • Saturday, October 18, 12:30-3pm
  • Parking Lot B6 (next to the Robins Center)
  • Game time is 3:30pm

On Tuesday, October 21 and Friday, October 24, members of the SPCS Student Government Association, Alumni Association members, and various deans, faculty and staff will deliver free snacks and give-aways to students in their classrooms. This will be an opportunity for those who serve SPCS students to thank them for being a part of the School.

Additionally, on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, snacks will be available at the Special Programs Building and in the Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) in North Court 104, 3:30-6:30 pm, for students to pick up before class. 

Current students will be entered into raffle prize drawings throughout the week. Prizes include tickets to UR vs. JMU football game; tickets to UR vs. VCU basketball game; gift certificates to UR bookstore and more.

The weeklong event is sponsored by the SPCS Student Government Association.
