Some local business leaders have restrained their hiring and capital spending expectations amid worries about the upcoming election and a sluggish economy, a recent survey suggests.
Executives remain optimistic about sales over the next six months, according to the second-quarter survey of chief executive officers conducted by the Virginia Council of CEOs and the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.
