On Jan. 6, members of the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) voted to appoint Dean Wendy Perdue president-elect for 2017. Perdue will assume the role of president in Jan. 2018.

The AALS is a nonprofit association that works to uphold and advance excellence in legal education. Perdue will join the organization’s newly elected president, Paul Marcus of William & Mary Law School.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues at the AALS as together we work to further strengthen legal education and the foundations of our system of justice,” said Perdue.
