Optimism high among chief executives of small to medium-sized businesses in region, survey shows (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Optimism about the economic outlook has reached a seven-year high among CEOs of small and medium-sized businesses in central Virginia, according to one recent survey.

The first-quarter 2017 CEO Economic Outlook survey, conducted by the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business and the Virginia Council of CEOs, shows that 81 percent of respondents expect their companies’ sales to increase over the next six months, nearly the same as in a survey conducted in the fourth quarter of 2016.
