SPCS student awarded Cybersecurity Public Service Scholarship

Belinda White, C’18, a current SPCS student earning a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies degree in Information Security, has received the 2017-2018 Cybersecurity Public Service Scholarship from the Commonwealth of Virginia State Council of Education (SCHEV).

The scholarship award is $20,000, applied equally to the fall and spring semester of the academic year.

The purpose of the Cybersecurity Public Service Scholarship Program is to support students who are pursuing an education in programs specifically designed for careers in cybersecurity defense.

Students who receive the scholarships commit to work for the Commonwealth of Virginia for one year for each year they receive a scholarship.
