The Digital Humanities Faculty Learning Community is sponsoring the Data and Culture Lecture Series during the spring semester. On Feb. 28, Ryan Cordell, Assistant Professor of English, and David Smith, Assistant Professor of Computer & Information Science, Northeastern University will speak on “Speculative Bibliography: Probabilistic Texts, Page Maps, and Propagation Networks.” On March 29 at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Jack Gieseking, Assistant Professor of Public Humanities in the American Studies Program at Trinity College will present “Constellations of Queer History: Radical Mapping and the Scale of Geospatial Big Data.” The series will conclude on Thursday, April 5 at 4 p.m. with Dr. Rob Nelson and Dr. Tim Barney discussing “The Global Map and the First-Year Classroom.”
