Institute on Philanthropy welcomes new members to advisory board
The Institute on Philanthropy at the University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies (SPCS) has announced its Advisory Board for the 2018-19 academic year.
With gracious thanks from the Institute on Philanthropy (IOP) for their service, the following members have completed their tenure on the Advisory Board:

- David Huffine, Vice President for Advancement, St. Joseph’s Villa
The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of the following new members to the Advisory Board:

- Ruth Modlin Ellett, CFRE, Modlin Ellett Associates
- Reshunda L. Mahone, CFRE, Vice President, Institutional Advancement, Virginia State University
- David Thomason, Vice President, Advancement, Special Olympics Virginia
For the 2018-19 academic year, the following members are returning to the Advisory Board:

- Pam Hervey, Owner, President & Producer, Fuel Creative

- Danielle L. Ripperton, CFRE, Director of Development, Peter Paul Development Center
- Myra Smith, President & CEO, Leadership Metro Richmond
IOP Advisory Board members serve renewable three-year terms as advisors to help guide the Institute and address the most urgent strategic issue facing IOP each year. As advisors, they are not involved in the day-to-day management of the Institute. The institute is managed by Kathy Laing.
IOP Advisory Board members are chosen because they are thought leaders in their fields representing a diverse knowledge base. Each brings different expertise to the table. Members are nominated and selected based on this criteria.
