SPCS awards over $38,000 in spring scholarships & receives anonymous new scholarship

December 14, 2018

The University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies awarded $38,340 in scholarship funds to 26 degree-seeking students for Spring 2019 graduate and undergraduate classes in the School. The School awards scholarships annually to degree-seeking students, once each for fall and spring semester classes.

The School offers two categories of need-based scholarships for degree-seeking students: the Osher Reentry Scholarship and SPCS Scholarships. Additional details about each is available on the Scholarships page.

  • The Osher Reentry Scholarship are available to students returning to complete a degree started at least five years earlier.
  • Our SPCS Scholarships are open to all degree-seeking students, funded through a variety of different scholarships.

We are pleased to announce that a new SPCS scholarship has been funded and will be available to distribute scholarship funds to applicants starting in Fall 2019.

An anonymous donor has established a $100,000 scholarship at the School of Professional & Continuing Studies. The donor supports the mission of the School and the impact it has on the local community. The donor wants to increase scholarship funds and provide more opportunities to deserving Richmond area students.

This scholarship is one of the largest individual gifts received at SPCS and we are grateful for the donor’s generosity and commitment to the School.
