Graduate education students propose plan for implementing deeper understanding of inclusion to St. Catherine's School leaders

January 24, 2019

Two graduate education students — Caroline Kilby (Educational Leadership & Policy Studies) and Maddy Hargis (Curriculum & Instruction) — recently presented a proposal to the upper level leadership and board of St. Catherine’s School.

The two participated in a summer study abroad program to Germany last summer, Educational Leadership in a Global Context, that was designed for graduate education and nonprofit studies students.

After their study abroad experience, the two proposed to school leaders that strategies to promote caring leadership and successful integration can help create an inspiring learning environment for students and adults.

St. Catherine’s School strives to make global connections for students, and the lessons learned by Kilby and Hargis during their study abroad experience contributed to their deeper understanding of inclusion (inklusion) all over the world.
