SPCS degree program fall scholarship application deadline is June 1

May 23, 2019

The fall deadline for degree-seeking students to apply for SPCS scholarship funds is Saturday, June 1. Newly admitted and continuing students alike are eligible to apply.

New fall applicants may submit a scholarship application prior to submitting an application by the July 15 degree program application deadline, but applicants must be accepted and enrolled before funds are awarded.

The University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies awarded over $150,000 in scholarship funds to degree-seeking students during the 2018-19 academic year, and expects to award similar amounts in the upcoming year.

Recent fundraising efforts, including the successful UR Here Giving Day on April 11, have enabled SPCS to increase the number and amount of awards. SPCS scholarships are largely funded by interest earned from endowed scholarships supplemented by SPCS annual fund dollars.

In 2018, SPCS received its largest single scholarship donation, a fully funded endowment of $100,000 that will generate funds available starting Fall 2019.

SPCS students who have received scholarship funds have shared the impact of those funds on their educational journey. Learn more about Brian Krach, C’20, and other scholarship recipients.
