Social psychologist and leadership studies professor Donelson R. Forsyth, an expert on group dynamics, comments on mob mentality and violence at sporting events.
"Negative actions can become viral when one event – a limited act of violence occurs in the stands -- triggers similar events in other areas of the crowd," said Forsyth.
