Georgetown University's Summer in Washington Program designed for pre-law students

Georgetown University is launching a new summer program for students from across the country to add a practical component to their undergraduate pre-law education. The program will admit 24 students who will complete a law-related internship and participate in a seminar experience. The program runs from June 2 through August 9, 2008.

Students work as interns Monday through Friday and earn three credits by attending an academic seminar, “Law: Ethics and Leadership,” one evening per week. Participants can opt to earn three additional credits by enrolling in a summer course at Georgetown University or by taking a research seminar, also offered through Georgetown’s Semester in Washington Program.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information on the application process, please contact Assistant Dean Barbara Wolf at (202) 687-8722 or via e-mail. Tuition is $965.00 per credit hour and partial-tuition scholarships are available. Housing is available through Georgetown University.
