Nate Kornell to give talk at psychology/cognitive science colloquium Nov. 24

Nate Kornell, a postdoctoral scholar at UCLA, will present, "Optimizing Learning: Metacognitive Beliefs and Actual Outcomes." His research focuses on the processes that support learning and memory, with respect to two issues: The conditions that optimize learning, and the conditions that people think optimize learning. His findings illustrate the frequent disconnect between metacognitive beliefs and actual outcomes.
