John Allison, retired chairman-CEO of BB&T Corp., to speak about financial crisis at Richmond Law Federalist Society event Jan.17

John Allison, retired chairman and CEO of BB&T Corp., will speak about the financial crisis Jan. 17, 6 p.m., at the University of Richmond School of Law.

Under Allison’s leadership, BB&T grew to become the 10th-largest financial services company headquartered in the United States. The lecture will focus on the causes and consequences of the continuing financial crisis.

The program is presented by the University of Richmond chapter of The Federalist Society, in conjunction with the Richmond Lawyers chapter and takes place in the Robert R.
