Japanese ambassador to speak at University of Richmond's 2011 Tohoku earthquake memorial and forum March 13

Japanese Ambassador Ichiro Fujisaki will speak at “Japan’s Earthquake: A Year in Review,” a March 13 memorial to victims of the 2011 disaster and academic forum on the progress of rebuilding to be held at the University of Richmond.

Sponsored by the university’s Office of International Education, the program will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Carole Weinstein International Center, International Commons.

A panel discussion following Fujisaki’s address will feature Richmond professors Scott Allison, psychology, and Vincent Wang, political science; Nancy Bagranoff, dean of the university’s Robins School of Business; Martin Chapman, associate professor of geophysics at Virginia Tech; and Andy Anderson, founder of the Taylor Anderson Memorial Gift Fund. A reception will follow.
