Muslim, Black law student associations join forces with Virginia Blood Services to hold Sept. 9 blood drive in remembrance of 9/11

August 31, 2012

University of Richmond’s Muslim and Black law students associations will hold a blood drive Sept. 9 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the School of Law in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The public is invited to join the campus community in donating blood at the drive, and participants can enter a drawing for a $500 Visa gift card.

Sponsored in conjunction with Virginia Blood Services, the organizers hope to help relieve chronic summer blood supply shortages.

Blood donors must register in advance at the Virginia Blood Services website, www.vablood.org, and can use the sponsor code “9/11” or search by the date to locate the registration form.
