Financial holding company Markel's vice president, CFO to participate in C-Suite Conversation Feb. 12

Anne Waleski, vice president and CFO at Markel Corporation, will participate in a C-Suite Conversation Feb. 12, 8 a.m., at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. The program will be held in Queally Hall, Ukrop Auditorium. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

C-Suite Conversations are unscripted interviews with regional business decision makers and leaders. The series highlights challenges and opportunities of high-level executives and provides insight about how they balance leadership obligations with the needs of stakeholders.

Richard Coughlan, senior associate dean of the Robins School and director of The Richmond MBA, will interview Waleski.

Markel Corp. is a financial holding company serving a variety of niche markets, primarily marketing and underwriting specialty insurance products. Prior to assuming her current role at Markel Corp. in 2010, Waleski served as treasurer for seven years. She is currently involved with VCU’s Institute for Contemporary Arts, St. Joseph’s Foundation, Orchard House School, Partnership for the Future, the READ Center and the Faison School for Autism. She is also a board member of ChildFund International.

Waleski received a bachelor’s degree from The College of William and Mary and an MBA from The Richmond MBA at the University of Richmond.
