Associate provost Joan Neff receives award from Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services

Joan Neff, University of Richmond associate provost, recently was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Victim Services Award by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.

Neff was recognized for her contributions to the Virginia Victim Assistance Academy, a week-long institute held on the University of Richmond campus each summer to train service providers and advocates to more effectively help crime victims regain control of their lives.

In addition to serving as the associate provost, Neff is an associate professor and coordinator of the criminal justice program at the university.

Neff earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and completed masters and doctoral work at The Ohio State University.
