The Martin Agency, named Adweek’s U.S. Agency of the Year in 2010, is a Richmond-based advertising agency known for its acclaimed ad campaigns. After joining the firm as an account executive in 1991, Williams moved into strategic planning and went on to lead U.S. and global development for a variety of companies, including GEICO, Discover Financial Services, UPS and Credit Suisse. Named CEO of the agency in 2012 following John Adams’ retirement, Williams oversees the firm’s work for their clients, which also include Walmart and Mondelēz, among other brands.

Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from The College of William & Mary and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a contributing author of the best-selling book, "Kellogg on Branding," and he speaks regularly on advertising and marketing across the U.S.

C-Suite Conversations are unscripted interviews with regional business decision makers and leaders. The series highlights challenges and opportunities of high-level executives and provides insight about how they balance leadership obligations with the needs of stakeholders.
