UR's 'TAKE 30' spring 2016 events focus on leadership in education

The University of Richmond Downtown will host its annual TAKE 30 event, a series of 30-minute discussions that focus on questions that are important for the Richmond area, beginning Feb. 18.

The theme for the spring 2016 series is “Leadership in Education.” Discussions are led by university faculty and community leaders.

Events include:

  • Feb. 18: “Educational Leadership: Understanding How Education Impacts Poverty” with Dana Bedden, superintendent, Richmond Public Schools
  • March 17: “Why Does Liberal Education Matter?” with Ronald A. Crutcher, president, University of Richmond
  • April 21: “What Does Educational Leadership Look Like in the Richmond Region?” with Jamelle Wilson, dean, University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies

All events, which are free and open to the public, are held at 4:30 p.m. at UR Downtown, located at 626 E. Broad Street.
