University of Richmond recognized in Princeton Review; ranked in the top 20 in six categories

The University of Richmond, which this year welcomed its most academically accomplished and diverse pool in the school’s history, was named as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review.

The education services company features Richmond in the 2017 edition of its college guide, “The Best 381 Colleges.”

The University of Richmond received particular accolades on the following ranking lists:

            #9 Best Classroom Experience

            #11 Best-Run Colleges

            #13 Most Popular Study Abroad Program

            #14 Best Quality of Life

            #16 Most Active Student Government

            # 20 Most Politically Active Students

University of Richmond students are quoted in association with the publication and praise the university’s “unparalleled resources,” particularly the “high number of research, internship, and study abroad opportunities available.” Richmond students also stressed the friendliness and helpfulness of their faculty and peers, “My professors showed me how to love to learn again.”

Richmond has been selected by The Princeton Review every year the book has been published. The university consistently ranks as a top-tier liberal arts university and a “best value” by U.S. News & World Report, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Smart Money magazine, Forbes.com and other leading college guides. Richmond also was selected as one of MONEY and ESSENCE’s 50 Best Colleges for African-Americans.
