UR to host post-election discussion of presidential leadership

The University of Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies will host a panel discussion called “After the Vote,” focusing on the task of governing after the 2016 presidential election. The event will take place on Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the Jepson Alumni Center.

Following an unprecedented presidential campaign, “After the Vote” features political experts who will discuss the campaign, the election results and what comes next. Kenneth Ruscio, 2016-17 Jepson School Leader-in-Residence and president of Washington and Lee University, will moderate this event. Panelists will explore the roles of press and social media, the campaign issues that mattered most and key lessons about our current political system.

The panelists include:

  • James Ceasar, professor of politics, University of Virginia
  • Diana Owen, associate professor of political science, Georgetown University
  • Robert Strong, professor of politics, Washington and Lee University

This event is free and open to the public but registration is required. A reception will immediately follow the event.
