In celebration of national Bike to Work week, University of Richmond President Ronald A. Crutcher will lead a group bike ride around campus May 17.

The “President’s Bike and Breakfast” event will begin outside the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness at 8 a.m. Riders will bike across campus to the Heilman Dining Center, which will be open for breakfast.

Members of the campus and greater community are welcome. A limited number of bikes used in the campus bike share program will be available on a first come, first served basis.

University of Richmond is also hosting several group rides from various starting locations, to encourage the campus community to bike to work.

Registration for the group rides and the Bike and Breakfast event is free but required.

This event is cosponsored by UR Police Department, URWell, Recreation and Wellness and the Office for Sustainability.
