University of Richmond climbs in U.S. News rankings for national liberal arts college; noted for study abroad and Pell recipients

U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges 2018” guide ranked the University of Richmond 23rd on the National Liberal Arts College ranking. Richmond moved up from 27th last year. The school also ranked as the 20th “Best Value” among national liberal arts colleges, moving up from 26th last year.

Additional highlights in the U.S. News rankings include:

• University of Richmond was named on the “Best Study Abroad” list under “Academic Programs to Look For.” Schools that made the list involve substantial academic work abroad for credit and considerable interaction with the local culture.
• The university was included on the list of National Liberal Arts Colleges with the most Pell recipients.
• The university was included on the list of National Liberal Arts Colleges with the highest international student enrollments. 

The University of Richmond consistently ranks as a top-tier liberal arts university and a “best value” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Smart Money magazine, Forbes.com and other leading college guides.
