UR's Sharp Speaker Series Continues with the 'COVID Crucible'

Patel Artistic HeadshotUNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND ─ Eboo Patel originally planned to discuss the complex landscape of religious diversity in America when he came to the University of Richmond campus as part of the Sharp Viewpoint Speakers Series.

Instead, he will participate in a Zoom webinar and discuss the “COVID Crucible: The Crisis and the Rising.”

The event will be held at 7 p.m. on April 21. The community is invited to join the Zoom webinar, but they must register at urichmond.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_guv-e1jRSuuRmAkW3vUidA and provide a verifiable email address to participate.

Patel is the founder and president of Interfaith Youth Core, former member of President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Faith Council, and author of Out of Many Faiths. He was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s Best Leaders of 2009.

He also is one of 25+ people highlighted among a group of “remarkable people bridging America’s divides in trying times” by TIME magazine.

The University of Richmond fosters important and challenging dialogues through the Sharp Viewpoint Speaker Series.
