A traveling exhibition, "Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War," will be on display at University of Richmond Downtown Oct. 9-Nov. 13. Events associated with the exhibition will include public lectures and a panel discussion.

University announces $10 million lead gift to create The Queally Center for Admission and Career Services
A $10 million lead gift by alumni Paul and Anne-Marie Queally, bolstered by multiple leadership gifts from others, has helped University of Richmond raise more than $12 million that the university plans to use toward a new center for admission and career services, a key component of its Fulfilling the Promise fundraising campaign.

Edward L. Ayers, historian of the American South and president and professor of history at the University of Richmond, received the 2012 National Humanities Medal from President Barack Obama in a July 10 ceremony at the White House East Room.
Gayle Goodson Butler elected URAA president; new officers and board members also elected
Gayle Goodson Butler of Des Moines, Iowa, has been elected president of the University of Richmond Alumni Association (URAA). A 1973 Richmond graduate, she is editor-in-chief of Better Homes & Gardens magazine and executive vice president and creative content leader of Meredith Corp.’s National Media Group.

University of Richmond to offer free tuition, room and board to qualified Virginia students from families earning $60,000 a year or less
Beginning in fall 2014, University of Richmond will raise the family income amount at which incoming first-year students from Virginia will qualify for free tuition, room and board, without loans.
