SCS establishes scholarship to honor the memory of Diane Retzer

The School of Continuing Studies has established an annual scholarship to honor the memory of Diane Harrison Retzer, former student advisor for the School.

The annual need-based scholarship will be awarded to an Evening School student for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Because student services were critically important to Retzer, this memorial scholarship honors her efforts on behalf of students in the School.

Retzer, who had worked in the School for six years as student advisor for degree programs, passed away on August 3, 2009. She was 55 years old and had battled a lengthy illness.

Faculty, staff, students and friends of the SCS are invited to make a memorial gift to the scholarship.

For more information about the scholarship and making a memorial contribution, visit the scholarship announcement page.
