After listening to the musical talent of course leader and Osher Institute member Alan Pollack in the class “Classical Piano: Recital/Lecture Series,” fellow Osher Institute member Richard Hollands was inspired to paint a portrait portraying Pollack’s performance on their final day of class as a gift for his friend.
The recent “Promoting Health and Well-being in Adolescents” panel brought together community experts with various professional backgrounds to address adolescent troubles and advise teachers, education students and parents how to help.
SPCS is helping to break down communication barriers in the Richmond community by offering Spanish-language training programs to professionals in both law enforcement and nonprofit organizations to help them better communicate with members of the Spanish-speaking community.
