Over 600 faculty, staff, students, and friends joined us for our February lecture with Dr. Kate Bowler, entitled "No Cure for Being Human: Resilient Faith for Tough Times." Dr. Bowler's lecture was a part of our Sylvester Spirituality Series, generously supported by the Sylvester family.
The Chaplain's office at Richmond provided an excellent combination of protected (sanctuary!) greenhouse for growing the seedling of my 18-year-old college self, a place that forced me to reach toward the infinite, the ineffable, the unreachable mysteries of lived and imagined faith.

On April 30, a team of twelve pilgrims co-led by Craig Kocher and Bryn Taylor traveled to Cody, Wyoming, to experience the culmination of a spring-semester Pilgrimage course focused on spiritual practices.
March 15 marked the beginning of a very busy season in the Chaplaincy, when the office hosted a gathering on “Religious Inclusion: A Spring Holiday Guide.” Noting the way Ramadhan, Holy Week, and Passover overlapped this year, the program provided an opportunity to learn about Islam, Christianity, and Judaism more broadly while explaining the significance of the season for many groups on campus.
