Amanda Bolton, GC’19, successfully opened the Village Montessori Academy earlier this year, which offers an inclusive, high quality, early childhood program that promotes independence, confidence and curiosity.

The School of Professional & Continuing Studies, along with the Osher Lifeling Learning Institute, hosted a series of workshops on recognizing and combating implicit bias during the 2020-2021 academic year. The workshops were led by Dr. Destiny Peery, a social psychologist and legal scholar who specializes in the study of identity, bias and discrimination, diversity, and equity and inclusion.
Dr. Laura Kuti, assistant chair of Teacher Education and assistant professor of education in the School of Professional & Continuing Studies, was named a 2021 recipient of the University’s Distinguished Educator Award at the annual Colloquy celebration held August 18.
